Course Description:

This advanced course will enhance the clinician’s knowledge to gain predictable surgical results with advanced grafting procedures. This course emphasizes a step by step approach to understanding the history, benefits, protocols and surgical techniques for usage of various autogenous, non-autogenous, and synthetic membranes available.

In addition, this course focuses on enhancing the surgeon’s skill set to incorporating the collection and fabrication of PRF, LPRF, APRF, iPRF, and other advanced concentrated growth factor products to enhance surgical results with tissue and implant regeneration. Proper dental coding and billing is also covered for the dentalteam to immediately implement this process.

By the end of this course doctors will be able to:

• Be able to classify hard and soft tissue defects to assist with proper membrane selection and usage
• Review and understand the evidence that supports which membranes are preferred and the qualities that are important to the regeneration success.
• Select various resorbable non-autogenous membranes
• Select various resorbable autogenous membranes
• Select various non-resorbable membranes such as titanium and PTFE.
• In depth understanding of the surgical techniques and tips for using the various membranes discussed.
• Understanding of the various commercially available recombinant growth factor products
• History and scientific evidence behind the usage of autologous blood products such as PRP, PRF, LPRF, APRF, and iPRF
• Learn the surgical protocols for the usage of venipuncture collection supplies, and proper surgical technique for successful chairside venipuncture
• In depth review of the collection, fabrication of CGF products such as PRF, LPRF, APRF, iPRF, plugs, “sticky” bone, “steaky” bone
• In depth case presentations demonstrating the surgical techniques for success
