Course Objective and Goals:

Soft tissue quality and quantity is often missed during our initial diagnosis and treatment planning. This can affect the outcomes of teeth, restoration and surgical prognosis if not considered. This course will address the importance of soft tissue and the diagnosis and treatment planning for soft tissue problems.

Presentation Topic:

  • Why is attached tissue important?
  • How do we diagnose mucogingival disease and minimally attached tissue problems?
  • What are the Aesthetic and functional concerns?
  • What options do we have for tissue problems?
  • What are the possible outcomes of a soft tissue pr ocedure?
  • What types of soft tissue grafting techniques are out there?
  • What are Implant related soft tissue concerns?
  • Learn Suturing techniques used in soft tissue grafting
