Course Objectives and Goals:

This course is a one day course where attending dentists will have understanding the concept, treatment planning, and surgical/ restorative sequences/protocols of Implant supported dentures using locators. The hands-on will review impression and conversion techniques of locator abutments for your denture.

At the conclusion of this course, participants will have gained a greater understanding of the necessary skills, techniques, instruments, and materials that are required for implant supported overdenture using locator abutments.

Presentation topics include:

  • TREATMENT PLANNING FOR IMPLANT SUPPORTED OVERDENTURE for overdentures
    • Understand the various factors which affect the treatment planning
  • MAXILLARY TREATMENT PLANNING
    • Understand ideal implant position and number for the maxillary edentulous arch
  • MANDIBULAR TREATMENT PLANNING
    • Understand ideal implant position and number for the mandibular edentulous arch
  • REVIEW VARIOUS TYPES OF LOCATOR ABUTMENTS
    • Understand Implication of different Locator Abutments.
  • LOCATOR ABUTMENT SELECTION
    • – Understand how to select proper height for locator abutments.
