Course Objective and Goals:

Implant dentistry has become a widely accepted modality of replacing missing teeth. Due to the increased demand for implants, many general dentists are now performing the surgical aspect of implants. In order for the surgery to be successful, the practitioner has to be familiar with surgical protocols. Predictable success in implant dentistry should include a thorough examination, an accurate diagnosis, and following the appropriate protocol during both the surgical and prosthetic phases.
