Course Director
Course Objective:
Crestal approach maxillary sinus augmentation
This lecture will show crestal approach maxillary sinus grafting using specialized drills designed for crestal approach. Indications, contraindications and protocol for crestal approach maxillary sinus bone grafting technique will be discussed. In addition, fundamentals and basics of maxillary sinus bone grafting along with several clinical cases will be presented.
- Crestal approach to maxillary sinus augmentation technique
- Indications for crestal approach maxillary sinus augmentation
- Bone grafting for maxillary sinus augmentation
Ridge preservation bone grafting technique to better prepare the extraction site for your implant surgery
After the extraction, vertical and horizontal bone loss is frequently observed with horizontal bone loss being significantly greater than vertical bone loss. One of the techniques to maintain the alveolar ridge is ridge preservation bone graft (RPBG). This technique has been proven to be a predictable treatment modality for maintaining the alveolar bone for delay implant placement after the extraction. This course will present indications, rationale, contra-indications and surgical cases of RPBG.
- Learn what happens to the alveolar bone after the extraction
- Learn how to perform ridge preservation bone graft and what to avoid in achieving ideal alveolarridge for predictable implant placement
- Learn how to manage the socket after extraction of unsalvageable tooth with bone loss, compromised soft tissue and peri-apical lesion
